The moon's about half, Venus shone brightly on this clear Monday night sky.
Mondays are usually a drab. We feel drained at the start of the week. Might be because of the weekend. Mondays are usually melancholic.
But this particular Monday was different from all the Mondays I've known. Work was hectic but I enjoyed every hour of it - accomplishing task after task, joining three meetings, and running a personal errand. It was also the first Monday that I spent with all the people working with me. It was kind of exciting to be with all of them in the same room. I got a clear perspective of what we wanted to accomplish this year just by seeing them all together.
We're on our recovery week before we jump to the full hour exercises next week. I'm thinking of modifying the next week to accommodate requests from the newcomers. Will consult with the three original attendees tomorrow. Amazing how a lot of people from other teams are now joining us in our quest for healthy and bikini-ready bodies.
My bum right foot's still bum, so a trip to our favorite massage joint was in order. Before that, we were lucky enough to get a ride with Maiko, eat at Kopi Roti (Macky had been dreaming of this joint for months now), and we managed to get to the other side of Katipunan without being torn to pieces by cars speeding on the Katipunan Extension. This right foot is fairly okay for the time being.
And what do you know? When we took our places facing that familiar Katipunan neighborhood, we were greeted by the moon and Venus. The sight was so breathtaking I wanted to write then and there. But I composed myself, kept my thoughts flowing while the gracious ate maneuvered her way around my bum foot for the next hour. Dozing off in between thoughts was a bonus.
Mondays. Surprises are definitely just around corners.
